3rd and Fairfax

Los Angeles, California

This urban infill project is a mid-20th century style retail commercial center of approximate 25,000 sq. ft. on 75,000 sq. ft. of land. The project consists of a ±16,000 sq. ft. specialty market along with ±9,000 sq. ft. soft goods retail and restaurants uses. The project was planned on an urban design placing the primary facade along the Fairfax Avenue frontage to extend the urban feel and pedestrian experience the full length of the block, because the parking is created on a separate site along 3rd Street  a paseo and courtyard was design as a pedestrian link, focal feature and primary point of entry to all of the retail spaces. The Architecture recalls the architectural style of the 1950’s, when the area was initially developed many buildings of that area have become historical Los Angeles landmarks.
