This existing shopping center at the east gate way entrance to the City of Pasadena was constructed in 1982, and has been traditionally anchored by Sears and Marshalls. McKently Malak Architects was commissioned to reposition the center and provide a new life to the center. A new CVS pharmacy building replaced a closed down restaurant pad, and a new 5,600 sqft pad anchored by Corner Bakery was added on either side of the parking field. An additional of 3,000 sqft of shop space was added to the in-line shops. The entire center received a new contemporary facade with new stone design, arcade, trellises, awnings, contemporary color pallet, landscape, lighting and site amenities. The project also received a Pasadena Beautiful award for its revitalization.
