Janss Marketplace

Thousand Oaks, California
A Project For Newmark Merrill Companies

Located off the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks, California, is the existing Janss Marketplace Shopping Center. The Center is comprised of over 450,000 sf of retail, restaurant and a nine-plex AMC Theater. As part of a revitalization effort and in an attempt to add value to center, McKently Malak Architects proposed the redesign of the plazas and paseos to allow for more pedestrian friendly amenities and the addition of anchoring elements of towers and enhanced architectural retailing. The utilization of second floor vacant spaces into restaurant / office and exercise facilities is part of the value added study to expand the tenant mix.
