The Olivo Shopping Center located in the Mission Hills district in the City of Los Angeles was originally constructed in the 1950s, the center has received many updates and alterations over the years, most recent renovation in 1980. The redevelopment of the shopping center will include the demolition of 50,000sqft of obsolete buildings and construction of 75,000sqft of new buildings. The redevelopment of the site will include a complete renovation of the existing buildings with new facades, redesign of the parking field and accessibility to the center, and creation of gathering spaces, outdoor patio areas and development integrated shops and majors into the new project lineup. The proposed redesign will encompass elevation designs that incorporate glass, metal, wood, stone and stucco finishes with clear horizontal alignments.
