New 5 story 178 room Hawthorn Suites, an extended stay type hotel, by Wyndham to be built in two phases in the City of Duarte, CA. The first phase to be a 5 story 72 room over a basement garage and the second phase will be 5 stories 106 room hotel over two levels of garage parking connected to phase 1. This will be built on approximately 1 3/4 acres of land. Amenities will include a swimming pool, gym, guest laundry room, large meeting rooms and restaurant.
LA Plaza Village, designed to celebrate the diverse cultures that formed the area, combines dynamic retail, dining, cultural and residential venues in a vibrant setting. Centered along a historic paseo just north of downtown Los Angeles, LA Plaza Village merges classic Los Angeles style with modern charm to form a new community with a unique personality of its own.
The project is situated at the Southern gateway of Porterville’s historic downtown area and sits on the lot where the 125-year-old Porterville Hotel once stood. The new building will be a +/- 45,000 Square Foot 3-Story Mixed-Use building built primarily with a SIPS panel system.
This project includes the construction of two 6- story residential building, a restaurant remodel and improvement of the ground and second floors of the existing office structure.MMA provided a unified design strategy and material palette and improvements including new finishes, hardscape, façade elements, storefront and trellises to the existing podium level of the office building.
Designed in accordance with the West Village Specific Plan, The West Village is a mixed-use development located at the foot of Lady-face Mountain south of the Ventura Freeway. The project features 107 housing units and approximately 62,000 sf of retail in its first phase.

This project is located on East Las Tunas Drive which is currently underdeveloped with low density older commercial and residential properties. Because the rectangular property has a narrow frontage onto the major street Las Tunas Drive but is relatively deep we developed an enriched courtyard that allows all of the mixed-use functions to access a vehicular and pedestrian enriched space.
